Hello reefers, I was recently evacuated because of a fire but wasn't able to get the fish then but now some police officer might be able to get the fish. Is it safe to have them get my fish? unfortunately we can't get them ourselves. Its just two clownfish and I've found someone who can care for them but they might not make it in a plastic bag for so long. It can happen tomorrow or the next day. Any help is much appreciated:)

If they can get them to you in a reasonable amount of time, go for it.

Ok thank you. Since I'm not aloud to get the fish do you think the Police officerr can do it correctly?

With a net? It's better than rolling a dice and you can't get back to them or the fire gets to your house and they die. Hopefully that doesn't happen!

it would have to survive for more than an hour. Would they be able to make it?

In a tied off bag with water, of course. They ship fish long distances from all over the world. A couple of hours should be okay.

Why not ?

Hi guys just a quick update: they were not able to rescue the fish then but we able to go today ourselves and there still alive everything is chaos the tank is very dirty and a lot of water evaporated. Should we get the fish somewhere or would that be to stressful, or should we try to maintenance the tank and keep the fish where they are? unfortunately we move back yet

Please excuse me for not bringing up fish immediately but are you and the family and your house and belongings and surrounding area etc ok?

Well clowns are hardy AF IMHO so if you can even get them in a 10 or 20 while you sort things out I would. Glad to hear you and yours are well. Stay safe.
