Hey guys, this is my new golden angel. He fed for the first time this morning in the qt and about 20 minutes later I noticed this dot on him as well as the lack of coloration on the find. I'm assuming this is ich but I would like some more opinions to be sure

More spots on him now, it is either ich or velvet. Getting cooper at the LFS tomorrow

I can't tell anything from that picture, however if it's already spread within these few hours then velvet is very likely. I have also seen on a couple occasions angels show discoloration as the only sign of velvet. Does it look larger like salt grains or fine like sugar? Any flashing/scratching, head twitching, swimming into the flow of a powerhead/return, lethargic? How long have you had the fish and when did it start showing symptoms?

I also tagged the mods to get your thread moved to fish disease. You'll get some more eyes on it over there.

Really hard to judge as its not that clear. Can you post another picture of the wrasse that now it has more spots.
Anyways either its velvet or ich, you will need to treat it with copper in both cases. I suggest to do fw bath or acriflavine/formalin to provide relief until you get the meds

Trying to get another pic. The dots seem to be too small for the camera to pick up. They are catered throughout the body

He began to seemingly begin scratching last night on the glass of the qt. I've had him for 2 days

Scratching is a sign of parasite irritating the fish, in turn the fish will try to scratch against a surface to try and remove it. Copper is the way to go.

this is it, can't tell ich or velvet. I won't be able to get to my LFS for another 3 hours so fingers crossed it's ich.

It's pretty hard to tell for sure, but I would lean more towards velvet, from both the speed of which it showed up and the picture there.

A bit blurry but I hope its ich and not velvet. I can see large white spots but note fine dusty spots, also fins are clear from spots, this makes me lean more towards ich. But then it spread fast all over the fish which is more like velvet. Just double check and make sure no fine white spots exist all over the body and its only the few large spot that are visible in the pictures. Also watch for other symptoms like sensitivity to light, hanging by the flow or power head, etc.. that might give it away.

Also since you are dealing with angelfish be careful with copper and increase the concentration slowly and watch for any stress from the fish. If fish is stressed remove all copper and try other alternatives such as ttm (if its ich) or chloroquine phosphate.

The spots are on the fins as well (left pectoral) and run down the body. He has gone near the flow of the hob as well as right next to the sponge filter

Unfortunately then its velvet. Do you have ruby reef rally on hand? or formalin? I would suggest doing a bath ASAP.
If not, then fresh water dip will also work.

This will provide temporary relief and buy you some time until you get the copper.
Best of luck and hopefully it will recover soon.

I don't have any of those things, just have the furan 2, kanaplex, and metroplex

Metroplex might provide relief from velvet but it takes time.

Just do a fresh water dip instead of formalin, this will also help.
You can never be sure with velvet as it kills fast, sometimes it takes days, sometimes hours.
FW dip will help remove some of the parasites, this will help a lot since velvet infest the gills and suffocate the fish slowly (hence hanging by power head or breathing hard to get as much oxygen as possible)

Will difference in ph shock the fish? The only good freshwater I have is the rodi

The dip will be for short period of time, so hopefully it will not be affected by ph. The dip is just for 5 min, but can be cut short if fish showed stress or breathing started to slow down. RODI is recommended when doing FW dip.
