Need quick answer before store closes. Are these dragon soul torchs

The store has like 13 dragon soul torch in another tank for 300$.. these are 100$ though and look very similar.

Its under t5s. Blue and purple plus.

Should i get it for 100$ ? .

Just a green tipped purple torch. I got from wwc live sale for like $40, soo $100 I wouldn’t, but that’s just me.

You guys sure becausw it looked like the dragon souls they are selling when i moved it to the leds.. my camera cant quite get the yellows.. unfortunatly

I would suspect that if they have others labeled as Dragon Soul torches in another tank at another price point that these are not the same thing. That being said, if you like it and are happy with the price then get it whether it has a fancy name or not

That last pic looks similar but an lfs isn’t gonna sell a true dragon soul at that price point lol

They said it is a dragon soul but it came from a larger peice they fragged and it had some damage on it. Thats why they lowered the price.

I just checjed it.. it looks fine to me. It does hsve slight dmg on a corner though.

But when placed in the tank with the other dragon souls it looks identical.. i just cant get the green.yellows on the tentacles with my phone

Well i decided to buy it. For 100$ and a possible dragon soul.. yea.. it is damaged like they said thats why it was in the 100$ section. It looked identical when taken and put into the tank with the other dragon soul torchs and under LEDS. You see the pic i posted above thats from their website.

Here it is in my tank. Its very small. And i still cant quite get the yellows on the tentacles to show well on my phone but you guys i hope can see it ?

Its deff not a purple tentacle green tip torch those are black light torchs ive seen them tons of times. And i have those. This one has gold and green in the tentacles.

Hopefully the damage on it heals and it grows so i can frag it and make money off it lol

Is it the flesh that is damaged? If so sadly its probably $100 down the drain.

Its just got some recession on one side that goes a little into the septa (the spines) from being fragged too close. I think itll be ok in my tank. Ive had torchs crushed completetly and glued back to shape and live.

So well see. Its a 100$ gamble. If it makes it i saved 200$ from buying the others at 300$

I only ask because i have a purple torch that fell and a little bit of white flesh was damaged. It took 3 months but that polyp slowly died off sadly.

Hope it works out for you, little confused though as you said there were a few in the $100 tank but yours was $100 because of damage, so we’re there others damaged too...sack the fragger if so lol

Yea they had like 10 dragon souls for 300$ in one tank. And two dragon souls in the 100$ tank due to damage from fraggong they said. I just wanted to see if they were dragon souls or not

Does the name really matter though? Get it because you like how it looks, not because it has a fancy name. However, I’d have to say they’re not dragon souls

Well you guys were right, amazing how just a little dmg like that kills a coral. Its 40% dead now. I called the store, and the owner will give me a 100$ refund, or 100$ store credit. Ima just take the refund and go to another store.

Yea it sucks. Oh well. The owner of the store got a little nasty on the phone with me denying he had sick torchs or any dragon souls in the 100$ section.. or that they just fragged em.. but i had a friend with me thst day and thats what the employees told me. I also have pics of the torchs in that 100$ section as you guys saw.

So hes basically calling me a liar on the phone when i have a witness and pics of proof..

I think after he gives me the 100$ ima give him a ear full. I hate being called a liar by people. Especially this dude. He has attitude issues ive met him before and hes like to berate people ive noticed. And im not the person to do that too.

Ill just use the 100$ + some towards a dragon soul thats healthy from somewhere else

I wouldn't get that mad. You knew it was a damaged coral before you got it. Most LFS have a 0 return policy, so id get the money and run if they are offering it
