Need quick answer before store closes. Are these dragon soul torchs

Well you guys were right, amazing how just a little dmg like that kills a coral. Its 40% dead now. I called the store, and the owner will give me a 100$ refund, or 100$ store credit. Ima just take the refund and go to another store.

Im not denying he could say no. But ny issue either say yes or no.

I remember one time i nrought in a coral there thst bleached in just 2 hours suddenly after i got it. And i brought it back snd he throws it in the trash and gets nasty. Ive seen him do this before to other cistomers..

Damaged torches are pretty risky. I'd have put a deposit down and let him stay at the lfs for a couple days to see if he made it before I took him home.

Yea it sucks. Oh well. The owner of the store got a little nasty on the phone with me denying he had sick torchs or any dragon souls in the 100$ section.. or that they just fragged em.. but i had a friend with me thst day and thats what the employees told me. I also have pics of the torchs in that 100$ section as you guys saw.

So hes basically calling me a liar on the phone when i have a witness and pics of proof..

I think after he gives me the 100$ ima give him a ear full. I hate being called a liar by people. Especially this dude. He has attitude issues ive met him before and hes like to berate people ive noticed. And im not the person to do that too.

Ill just use the 100$ + some towards a dragon soul thats healthy from somewhere else

Common issue with LFS.

They have too much inventory, constantly changing. They can't keep up with it. Mix in too many unaware employees and there's no way to keep everything on the up and up. Lots of things slip through the cracks and that's how you get the best deals.

You'll find yourself in many situations where you know it's too good to be true. It either is, or whatever is going on wouldn't fly if everyone was on the same page with correct info. When you find yourself in that situationt, don't ask questions, don't correct them, just take the gamble if you know the risks.

Part of the risk is if SHTF and you try to circle back around for compensation the LFS owner is probably gonna be heated.

Well what haplened when i went in.. he gave me ny 106$ back. (Taxes) and we talked

He said he replaced of his tubs with glass tanks. He used white like mudsinks for corals before. And moving all his torchs somehow killed some and damaged alot of others. Not aure how that happened.

But when i looked at the other dragon souls they were all sickely looking. So hinestly he shouldnt even be selling them. Yes i took it knowing it was damaged but i didnt know the extent of why until now and how much dng it did to all his torchs.

Oh well its a bummer i really want one if these torchs so i can build up my stock of torchs to make money on when they grow.

Wish i knew a place or someone locally who has one thatd sell one for a reasonable price.. 150-200$ or so. 300 is just too high for any coral in my opinion coral and fish prices have trippled since i started reef keeping like 3 years ago

He sounds like a schemer. My bet is there was a colony in a display tank, they dropped it and damaged it, so they thought quick and fragged it up to sell off easier before it kicked the bucket. The only reason they're still going in his system is because they didn't go through transport shock while damaged like yours did.

Na i saw them all fragged a few months ago. He even has a video of them all in his system.

When i went in that day and bought the 100$ dragon soul. I noticed the tank he had them in was in fact a different tank and they were working on those new glass tanks. It was cloudy and the torchs looked all shrivvled.

But you are right. I can tell when people are lying.. my friend was with me both times. Fir the purchase and refund. She notices how he backtracks and changes stories alot and his employees do the same.


I wish i could find a dragon soul fir like 200$ even if its online and 40-50$ shipping.. I just really dont wanna spend 300$ on a dsng 1 headed torch.. but maybe its worth it in the long run. Im trying to build up my torch collection to grow and sell them
