I float the bag in sump for 15 minutes, remove scoly and place into tank. I also put a piece of cardboard on mesh screen just to shade the scoly for a couple days. They always fluff up nicely.

Ok I’m going to try to shade it this way. Simple and effective. Love it!I float the bag in sump for 15 minutes, remove scoly and place into tank. I also put a piece of cardboard on mesh screen just to shade the scoly for a couple days. They always fluff up nicely.
My tank temp is 78, never had a problem with them at this temp. Don’t try to force feed it, let it’s feeding response show. Mine eat whatever is floating around of LRF nano and I feed them once a week with Coral Frenzy .5 mm pellets. Photo shows some of them. They get plenty of flow and light.Ok I’m going to try to shade it this way. Simple and effective. Love it!
He's doing pretty good, I'm babying him. He's not totally puffed up yet, but his colors are good and he's eating. I waiting 2 days then fed him, and then fed him again yesterday. He's in direct light now, around 150 PAR maybe less. Just keeping parameters stable and doing my thing. What’s the update on your scoly? I got mine today via shipping and it is super deflated and showing skeleton also. Poor thing.
Mine was doing ok this morning and I gave him (or her) a small squirt of reef roid and the mouth opened up to eat. I’m glad yours doing good so hopefully mine will too after shipping stress. He's doing pretty good, I'm babying him. He's not totally puffed up yet, but his colors are good and he's eating. I've had issues with AquaSD due to them shipping from CA to PA. The original one I picked wasn't "looking good" so they called and switched it out. It took mine about 24-48 hours before it looked OK. It's still not puffed up but it's getting there and it's eating. I kept it in the shade for 3 days then slowly brought it out. They def. sent me one with aptasia on it, but no biggie. I ordered a rainbow plate from living reef orlando and it showed up BROWN, i mean BROWN. It's taken probably 6 weeks for it to come back to vibrant colors. The bigger corals do not like being shipped, so just be patient and hold your parameters and it'll come around. Good luck!Mine was doing ok this morning and I gave him (or her) a small squirt of reef roid and the mouth opened up to eat. I got mine from ASD and they totally sent me the wrong one for $100 less than the one that I ordered. Waiting for a response from them.
I've seen people saw em in half to "frag" them, I nearly passed out. If the water is good and the light is good, they'll make it. Shipping is rough man. UPS must shake them before i get it. FedEx is A+++ around here and I know that's not the norm.Good to hear. I’ve recently purchased rescued scoly pieces and they’re doing fine.
