Hey,
So it's time for me to buy a topoff but I've heard a lot of negative things about the Neptune ATK.

Please,any suggestions from the field

Cant comment on the ATK but my Tunze works well. The pump is pretty loud but only runs 30 seconds or so here and there.

Honestly i like the AutoAqua on my biocube better. Its silent but lacks a backup float compared to the other two.

Love my Tunzes I think they have a pretty good track record which is important with an ATO

Why?
I works as a stand alone
I didn’t like the noise of the pmup that comes with it, and I have kalkwasser in my ato and it was stirring it up more than i liked. I have used a Tom's aqualifter instead and it works great.

The 3155 osmolator is about as good as it gets from an ATO perspective. Personally even though I have an apex I prefer the added redundancy of an independent system. The neptune kit is just a little too new for my taste.

Great info. I'm planning on adding the Fusion to the collection.
I've heard nothing but good things about the Tunze 3155

I had (Have) a Tunze and bought a Neptune ATK. Here is the review I wrote on it. In short it's easy to set up and the ATO functions work fine. It's fatal flaw is how the alarms are configured and the fact that it completely shuts of requiring a hardware reset if any of the alarms are triggered. With my system, the alarms would trigger every time I turned off my return pump to feed, so it because a PITA to use. I re-installed my Tune and the ATK is now sitting in a box.

If you have an Apex controller then the above issues are moot.

I have had both and just replaced my Tunzee with an ATK, here is a video about it , hope it helps

i replaced my tunze with the ATK .i never had an issue with the Tunze except having to clean the sensor once and awhile(when dirty it would result in low water and bubbles in the tank. The ATK works almost all of the time but every once in awhile there is a disruption which requires that I reset it,I have had overfilling of my resevoir but the float switch backup stops it which is nice.also the check valve sprays water so you have to make sure its spraying in the sump(my ato resovoir fills higher so my check valve has to be higher than my water level

Tunze 3155 is great, just got Apex ATK but alarms even at stand alone works 12 hours then alarm and for no reason water and level correct
not impressed will get a better pump for the 3155 so it can handle the volume who was the reason i did go for apex

Actually there is a beep code so you can know exactly what the reason is.

I have a tunze and control it on an apex.

When the mains are off the water level will rise and set off the high alarm on the tunze which is really loud so my apex is programmed to kill the tunze any time my main pumps are off and not to resume for about 2 minutes after I restart.

I am a die hard apex user with everything from the PMK, ALD to the DOS to the Wavs to the LSM....with plans to get a Cor and FMM

I had planned on switching to the ATK if my tunze ever went out but maybe not after seeing some comments.

The benefit is always freeing another outlet on one of my EB8s cause chasing free outlets is almost as much work as chasing ph.....

Your simply replacing water from a reservoir, why do you want to pay $200 for a pump to move water from 1 place to another? Save a ton of Money & check out AutoTopOff.Com, or put a $5 float valve in your sump connected to your RODI filter and save even more!
