Neptune ATK or Tunze topoff??

Your simply replacing water from a reservoir, why do you want to pay $200 for a pump to move water from 1 place to another? Save a ton of Money & check out AutoTopOff.Com, or put a $5 float valve in your sump connected to your RODI filter and save even more!
Well, I guess that's one way to go.

Smart ato micro is probably the best because of optical sensor and small form factor. Tinze is probably the next best . Unless you have apex, the atk is overkill

Well it's like I always Say "Apple & Samsung spend allot of Money to ensure consumers are not aware of any alternatives. I suggest taking a look at these 2 devices, and possibly hitting up Google for further explanation in how they work.

Use those on your ato resovoir and ONLY just long enough to fill the resovoir.

Never use them pressurized full time to a sump. A failure will flood your home and the constant on off will shorten the life span of the RO membrane and youll burn through DI resin.

I use both of those devices along with a solenoid and 2 optical sensors on my ATO (the optical sensors shut off the water line completely and the flpat switch is a backup) ......the ATO needs to be managed under very close supervision as its a pressurized line into your home.

I run a very small ATO resovoir to my sump that doesnt need to be watched closely as it wont hold enough water to flood if it gets stuck on (a tunze can't get stuck on...an ATK can get stuck on (either hooked to an Apex or stand alone) ...thats why they put a float valve on it) ....I run a tunze between resovoir and my sump.

Keep in mind this also gets more serious if you run a booster pump on your RODI (and you should if you want the full potential at 75psi.....those float switches can and will continue to slowly trickle water in when lifted).

Hey,
So it's time for me to buy a topoff but I've heard a lot of negative things about the Neptune ATK.

Please,any suggestions from the field

I've heard far more negative things about Tunze. In fact, I own two that failed miserably.

I've had the Neptune for 3 months and I'm very happy with it. It has more than enough safety features.

odd - my experience has been the opposite, and I haven't seen too many bad things about the Tunze.

IME, the optical sensors with the ATK are less reliable than the Tunze's. There have been a ton of reports of the PMUP failing. The Tunze motor is noisier but is more reliable. The Tunze will automatically reset after an alarm; the ATK needs to be unplugged and plugged back in.
