I have my Apex running AWC for me and on the whole it is working amazingly well. I actually love it. I noticed today however my sump level was getting higher so obviously either my DOS was not removing enough water during the cycle or pumping too much in. I calibrated the pumps to check they were ok but it was still happening. I then noticed in the hose taking dirty water from the aquarium a small blockage of coral sand that had made its way to my sump. I have now cut the pipe shorter so it is not picking anything up from the bottom of my sump and I do keep my sump very clean. My question is can I get some sort of filter for the end of the hose that won't alter the speed in which it draws water? I could see this happening quite often to be honest.
