Neptune wav pump,who has them???

Just set my 2 WAV pumps up and sand in the front blew away completely. Anyone have tips/advice on how to place so this doesn't happen?

Where do you have the pumps placed? I have my best luck with them on the back wall near the top and angled towards the center and slightly up. I am able to run mine at 45% with very little sand disturbance.

Exactly 12 inches from the sides on the back panel.

Do you think I would be able to use the Wav on a Red Sea 250? I am setting up my scape. Bought the Wav but this may be the first item I have to return... Still unopened. Thinking of going with two MP10 qds. Have the WXM for the Radion lights so MP10's will work, just wish I could try the wavs out lol. However once its open its yours
Mine wav come in today and I have a Red Sea I'll tell u how it goes [emoji16][emoji51]

Actually if it works for you I may order one Wav with the mp10... Just crazy lol
I like it it's cool how it's adjustable it's got so much power for the 250 was way over kill so I have at 20 percent with two in there it's easy to use on apex two emoji thumbs up[emoji106][emoji106] is way over kill but my Red Sea will b sps dominate

So even at 20% its crazy strong. That's what I was afraid of. I am looking for a mixed reef. Will be great for SPS though... Neptune replied to me that the never thought of the two much flow problem. They said that they were considering making something smaller. Waiting for my apex to ship. Really excited to be back in this hobby. What skimmer are you using???

Place them on the back wall inverted a bit and pointed upwards. Also you most likely need to play around with the placement and flow a bit. What are the dimensions of your tank?

I used to have a par of wav pumps on my old 90 gal and I ended up selling them and using 2 MP 40’s
The wav pumps were way to strong and large in size. I tried every location possible including the back of the tank
But when you mount them on the back of the tank you have to leave the area in front of the pumps opened. This
takes too much of my display area away from me. I can also turn down my MP 40’s a lot further than I could the Wav pumps.
My MP 40’s also have a wide gentle flow pattern to them compared to the wav pumps

If you do place the pumps upward make sure you set a delay in the apex outlet you are using for the wav pump.
If not, you will have a lot of water shooting up when you turn on your system. I set my pumps to a 30 second delay
from the main pump outlet to make sure the tanks water level has time to come up before the wav pumps start up.
