Thats good to know thank you!Nero pumps don’t pulse on/off. They pulse from lowest speed to the speed you set.

The only thing I hate about it is I like to turn off my one power head at night to give fish a little break and the is no setting to turn it for from 8 to 6 am unless I missed somthing
Tbh I took down my 15gal and moved my Nero 3 over to my 50gal with a Nero 5. So no, I hadn’t noticed much wave action with just one in my nano. I think if your coral and fish look happy there isn’t too much to worry about.OP, did you ever figure out your settings? I have a similar set up, RS reefer nano so its a cube, I keep the nero 3 in the back corner a little above half way, theres sort of a chink that runs down the nano where the overflow box is and the pump fits nicely in there fore me.
I have mine on pulse at 10%, then goes up to 15, 20 and then random lagoon mode or whatever it is at 25% for 4 hours in the middle of the day, then 20, 15, back to 10 on pulse. I have NO idea how to make it wavier its annoying
If you are looking for a standing wave 1s on and 1s off will give you this effect. Personally, I run mine like that at night at 45% and random during the lights on at 65%. I have Oolite sand in that tank so that's as far as I can push it without a sand storm.thanks haha, thats kinda what i realized too. I upgraded from a 4g cube with a dennerle corner filter, no waves at all and everything was loving it. I would like that nice swaying back and forth but true, as long as the creatures are happy
What size tank? I have a RS reefer nano and 45% is wayyyy to much power I thinkIf you are looking for a standing wave 1s on and 1s off will give you this effect. That setting is in my WB 20 cube. What size tank? I have a RS reefer nano and 45% is wayyyy to much power I think

No need to run it that high with your current inhabitants. I was just giving an example of how to get the wave action. Go to pulse and turn 250ms on 250ms off. and start at 30% and see how that goes. You can slowly turn it up until you start seeing sand blow and then back it off.If i go to 65% everything is blowing around insanely....idk if thats normal I am pretty new. I have clowns, a rainfords, lots of inverts, coco worm and feather duster, torch, btas, and i'm not sure any of them can handle 45 or 65%. how will my clowns sleep at night lol?
Yeah my clowns love it and hang out there all the time.thank you, I am gonna turn it up a bit because the clowns like to hang out right where the pump blows so I guess they appreciate some more flow than whats happening elsewhere in the tank
At 2% flow this would be pushing 40gph. Can it really run that low?Are any of you guys having trouble with the pulse setting? I have my whole schedule on pulse, 2% flow with 2sec on and 10sec off but it never actually turns off and pulses. It seems to be constantly on
No it doesn't work that way. At the lowest setting of 1% it's around 600gph or something like that. It has a minimum gph in order to work. I think it may work for your tank though if you keep it low because the flow is really wide and isn't crazy strong in my experience. I've had mine since they came out, maybe 4 months? At 2% flow this would be pushing 40gph. Can it really run that low?
I've been looking for a powerhead that doesn't thrash my corals in my 5 gallon pico and I haven't seen the Nero 3 recommended anywhere.
Runs on bothNo it's the myAI app. It is great none the less though!
