Nevaeh's 25 Lagoon

Be careful with the light on the shallow tank. Thats a strong light. I put hydra52 hd and had it higher like 60% fried a bunch of coral. Alot of high end stuff. Now im maxed out at 30% light about 10-12” high. Im LPS no SPS.
Also getting a nem

I know, I plan not to exceed 40% or even 30%. We shall see. I am looking online for lighting schedules and what not.

Tanked cleared up this morning. Fixed Skimmer since it was providing microbubbles to DT.

Tank looks good. I like the rock setup. FYI, you don't need to run the skimmer or light while the tank is cycling. Following progress.

Thanks. I am running my skimmer so I can keep my water level the level it should be when my ATO is setup and what not.

My light just got delievered and my AMAZON stuff didn't show up Sunday/Monday, got it refunded and ordered the items once again and one-day shipping, this time it got to me. So new pictures should be coming in a few hours

I just picked up the Tsunami lid from Artfully Acrylic if you are interested in a lid it fits great. Got delivered in a week. The regular lid is cleaner but turnaround times are like 4-5 weeks so went with tsunami.

The issue with the lid is that its not fully meshed, salt creep and evaporation might play a factor in PAR values...

I have the same lid on my reefer 250 for 3 years and no problems whatsoever. For us on that shallow of a tank and with that light you wont have prowith PAR

I run my lagoon without a skimmer. Only one sps atm (hulk). Mainly lps and zoas. Seems to do well. I do have five different macro algae’s in tank which may help!

Great setup! I have the 40 fusion with upgraded return pump (mighty jet). For a lid I got acrylic from Lowe's and cut it with 1/4" clearance and dropped inside. Love the look but can't stand not having an access door and that water accumulates underneath.

Does your lid drop inside the glass or sit on top?

This pic is from my other tank but same principal.

Its 3/8 lexan and its tabs are milled down to about an 1/8” of an inch so it sits down into tank like 1/4” and about 1/8” above tank.

That is a great looking lid. Any chance you can share where and how much it costs?
