OK I'm getting the gist of this thread. So, if you live in an area that has water shortages you should not wash your filter socks with water. Instead, don't wash your filter socks at all (as the title says). Source 35% hydrogen peroxide, pay to cover a hazmat shipping certificate because the stuff is dangerous and soak them in it because it is more economical and safer than water or water/bleach wash???
