NeveSSL's 180g Mixed Reef

Thanks, man! Its absolutely killing me. :) I've been dreaming of this tank for 7 years and the time has finally come.

Thanks, Ryan!

Wow! Great progress! Cold non bendable spa flex...ugh. Any of those areas where you need the spa flex to bend the other way, just cut it, glue a 45, and then go down.

Thanks for the tip, Chris... I had been wondering what I was going to do... I was thinking I'd be spending a lot of time with my wife's hair dryer, but I like your 45 idea much better. :)

If you need it I can get my heat gun from work, they're much hotter than a hair drier.

I've actually got a hot air rework station for soldering... I may bust it out... it will set things on fire... my boss and I proved this theory... LOL

Manifold is here!!!

Spa Flex also came in today. Our front desk lady called and said "Uh... There's a giant flexible hose here with your name on it.". Haha!

I also got several other parts in this week. I think I'm only missing one or two more orders and we will be good to go!! Overflow will be ready by Christmas, too, if all goes well. Can't wait!!!

Did you have this custom made, or is there an online site I could buy? This is a great idea to setup multiple devices with one pump.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thanks! I got this one from SpaDepot.com. FlexPVC.com also carries several. They're not terribly expensive... I think I paid $10 for this one.

No problem!

And we have primer...

Will be plumbing tomorrow, assuming Lowes will be open. I need to double check that...

A couple more updates. Got my Apex yesterday, and its ironically the same one had I a few years ago. :) Got it updated (after some issues that Neptune helped out with) and installed tonight. Its not as it will be permanently, but its up and running, pH probe is calibrated, and the cable is run from the switch on one side of my garage to the Apex on the other (so its hardwired throughout... no wireless). I also grabbed a barrier strip from Radio Shack tonight to have a $4 breakout box (more or less). :)

Its a mess, but I'll be ordering fingered cable raceway soon and redoing everything.

I also received an Avast ATO with the Apex. Seems pretty sweet! I love that its magnetic and includes a pH probe holder as well as an emergency float valve. Neat product. I ended up cutting the end of the cable it came with off to use as a breakout cable for the inputs on the Apex to the barrier strip for ease of access.

The silicone has been cured now for 2 weeks officially. Just have to get the front box of my overflow from Rick and I'll be good to go! That will hopefully happen this coming week and I'll hopefully be able to do a leak test next weekend. I am really nervous about it since so many things could go wrong, but I believe it will be fine. My tank spans over 4 floor joists right up against a load bearing wall and I glued my fittings well... should be good to go! :)

Working on it, Ryan! Thanks, other B! :)

I thought I was finished troubleshooting my Apex, but I was wrong. I can log in, the mobile app can slowly pull data, but I can't get the webpages to respond at all and it won't update any more, either. T_T I'm now off to email Neptune again.

Brandon

Looking good!

The Apex can be a little aggravating at times. Mine occasionally gets really slow. Have you updated the webpages and cleared the cache?

Thanks, Mike!

I had to delete a bunch of log files in order to have enough space to update the Webpages, but once Neptune walked me through that process, I was good to go yesterday. This morning, not so much. Its now not working and it won't update the Webpages. I've emailed them again to see what they say.

You might try asking on the Neptune forums on their website too. You might get a quicker response.
