New 32G Biocube

I implore you to please get one of these gap guards. I knew about the guard, and just never got around to getting one. And because I didn't, a few weeks ago my beloved first fish, a snowflake clown, jumped into the back compartment and was dead by the time I found her. Please don't let that happen to you.

I didn't know this was a thing either.

Awesome, are you doing a build thread for yours?
Yeah I can get one going. Just did one on my local reef club site. Honestly not much to my Cube yet. Mostly working on my bigger reef

The clown that is still alive didn't eat for several days after his mate passed.
I just ordered one yesterday. It will be a while before we have fish, but I want to get some of the smaller Blenny so this is probably a really good idea.

Making progress on the Biocube! It came already set up with cycled water and sand. We added rock today and some fresh stag-alive sand. We had been feeding so at the keep the beneficial bacteria going since there was no livestock.

We checked the water and were looking at 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, about 5 ppm nitrate, and 8.0-8.2 ph.

We put in a couple crabs with the rock and are going to keep watching the water numbers to make sure we don’t get a mini cycle before we start adding fish.

What are your thoughts on this aquascape? The sand is still settling some. It has 3 places for small fish to swim through and a couple cave places. Does it have enough height?

It looks good to me! We have about the same height, caves and ledge's are definitely a pro imo.

Do you think I need more negative space? I like the tanks with negative space but I was having a really hard time arranging the rocks that way.

I think the height is perfect. The single structure is very interesting with caves and protrusions. Over time coral growth will add to the look.

Don’t mind the evil chalice that was attacking everything in our smaller tank... he got banished to the corner but hopefully he will be able
That's beautiful.
thanks!

Don’t mind the evil chalice that was attacking everything in our smaller tank... he got banished to the corner but hopefully he will be able to spread his tentacles here and get healthy again.
