New 40 Breeder build

Umm, you may want to change that metal hose clamp on your return pump to something else. They make plastic clips for that. That metal clamp will rust and you want to avoid rust or any metal in your tank.

I couldn't find plastic, I want it. But these are stainless steel, still no happy though

Aqua scape and water in the tank! The cycle begins!

I used zip ties temporarily on my 40 Breeder which I just got filled with water a few weeks ago. Bulk Reef Supply sells those plastic clamps as well which is where I got mine. They hold surprisingly well. I think the ones on Amazon are the same thing though.

On a side note I see what looks like a Finnex HMO heater display in your sump. I had one of the too the 150 watt one and it wasn't enough to keep my water at 78 degrees the best it ever got was 75. If you have the same HMO-150 heater would you mind letting me know if it keeps it at 78 because I think mine might be broken.

Please let us know how the Finnex Ti 200w does. I was looking at getting just the element for my 40b just didn't know if it was going to be enough.

That's it, she's finished and cycling! I'll post pic when the first corals go in. And I will give you guys an update on the heater soon

Keeping the finnex at 79 degrees and the tank is running at 80.3 for a week now
