Hello,

Thought I would share my DIY Plywood tank with you folks here. Been working pon it for a while but I am kinda slow so here it is.

I had to close in my carport to build the room to put it in.

These are the tanks I am going to turn into my sump/fuge/frag tank

Then I started to remove pipes and dividers and make repairs

That last one is where I am gluing a first set of dividers over the original to close up the holes giving me some volume in the frag and fuge areas.

Start of the Tank

Got the front panel attached

I used 2 pieces and screwed them together heavily. then attached them to the tank. I think it would be strong enough to hold.

you can see the staggered double screw lines.

put the fillets on the seams and have started to fiberglass the inside. here are the pics

yeah im interested in this as well if this seems like something me and my grandfather could build in his would shop i would love to build into my wall were my 125 sits now only problem would be it would either have to always be there after i move out one day or be removable with minamel repair but i could easily put a 92L 28 H and 24 to 25 D and use the 125 as a sump and either block off an area to use as my fuge and keep my lions or use my current 75 as a seprate fuge but it would take so long for me to gather equipment the actual tank and false wall would be the easy part. the money would be the hard part lol my questions what type wood are you using exactly and not to be nosy what has this DIY ran u so far just for an idea and any idea what a tank the size of the diminsions above would be in terms of gallons?

dimensions are roughly 96 x 36 x 27 but due to some not well planned out construction issues its not exactly that anymore.

I am using fibeglass and epoxy on the interior and will coat with epoxy paint as a final coat.

Well, after a long pause for various reasons, I started workign on the tank once again.

I opted to go with coloring agent for the epoxy instead of the epoxy paint for color. Saved me about another $80-$100. Finally got my glass in as well
