Sweet a new canvas!

go big or go home....way to jump in and not mess around with the small stuff. Actually bigger tanks are easier to care for but just can become more expensive when it comes to water changes.

Kayler, that is a nice tank man. sorry I didnt get back to you the other day, this post just reminded me of it. Hope things have cleared up.

What's your next move on this?

Right now I'm in the process of getting in down to murfreesboro, which hopefully will happen this weekend.. Next I got to get a sump and do all the plumbing as soon as I can get the sump made that is. After that I will have to buy some more sand, salt, an live rock.. Then I will start to make the transfer from the 40 over to the 90. But I'm also gonna be trying to get my hands on a few things as well like mp 10s or one mp 40!

Yea I hear everything is more expensive when the tank size increases lol but it's def worth it!

4' tanks and smaller are fairly reasonable for equip cost and such. it's when you start getting longer and wider that you start exponentially increasing the cost. 90 is a great size without breaking the bank. Enjoy!

I would do 2 mp10s u get same flow but more functionality than a single mp40.

IMO 2 MP20's would be a wise investment, Then you can upgrade them to MP40 when you get a bigger tank and you most likely will sooner or later.

MP20's? i will look into them and yea i will one day i will have a big boy tank :xd:

Oh yea I keep forgetting about 20s. But I thought they didn't make those anymore? Bills got a great point about the ability to upgrade mp20s to mp40s later if u need

Im going to look into them but i would rather get a few used then new because thats alot of cheese :squigglemouth:

You wont find a mp20 new. they dont make them anymore. I would just stick to some koralias, unless you just come across a great deal. Being in college, you cant afford them! I have been out of school for like 12 years, and I cant afford them! I just got really lucky with a trade and a little cash.
