New anemone not looking good this morning

Ok so just got back home and here is a pic of him:

One question though why r there sometimes no bubbles/tentacles towards his mouth. Sometimes there is but sometimes the isn’t. Is there an explanation for that?

They will flatten out and the tentacles will be near the outer edges. When a bit of food is captured they will fold up to move the food to the mouth.

So the anemone let go for some reason... He is just floating :/ he looks happy and healthy and is still open. Why is he like this? Does he not like his environment and is trying to float away or can he not grip on the sand or box he is in? There is also a rock in there for him

The nem will move to where he is most comfortable.

You need to put HIM near a hole in the rocks. Turn off your pumps to give the nem time to attach. They like to put their foot in cavities.

Please check your Ammonia & Nitrite as the Anemone dying can spike it up very quickly. IME, you have to complete some very quick maintenance to your tank like a 20% water change. It also looks bleached... has it eaten anything? It’s mouth will swell when it is hungry, and the tentacles look small. This could mean that the anemone is very hungry/starving. Do you have any updates/pics?

Ok what is brine or Briney though?

High concentration in seperate container, don’t mix salt in tank. Some salt won’t dissolve, just add some tank water every time you pour some in n mix again.
