New anemone species?

Do you know what they had trouble with? Im sure this tank is also a fraction of the size of theirs. I would love to go there I imagine its fascinating.
If I remember correctly they had trouble with oxygen levels and fish died

My clowns don’t seem to have much effect on them. How old is your tank, If you don’t mind my asking?

I have upgraded to a 400 about a year ago but the maroon pair with the same original anemone is about 10 years.

Cool nem, thanks for sharing your experience! I'm really curious to see as it grows please update in the future.

Interesting. I’ve always found oxygen to be an incredibly underrated part of many tanks. I notice lots of return pump nozzles directed down into the tank for better flow, however wave makers are for flow. The return is an incredible source of oxygen, if pointed toward the surface of the water. I wonder what marine species prefer, a steady unchanging, and slow flow from the return, or a steady supply of oxygen that can save tanks from many dangers? I find it a very underrated part of the hobby because it is not something tested for. Kind of interesting, I like HOB external skimmers (I’ve used all type, from in sump, to air stone skimmers.) HOB feeds the tank more oxygen, in my experience, but everyone deserves to use what they like and are comfortable with.
I will keep this thread updated! I get rid of about 10-20 a month,

My current journey is trying to replicate an established tank, and get the same results in a brand new tank. I am strongly against people rushing thru the cycle, I find it one of the biggest mistakes, in my experience. If you want a tank that is thriving in 1 year then go freshwater. Saltwater is an incredibly difficult thing to replicate in a different system. Things as little as different salts can throw things off. I’ll make a thread tomorrow and you can all follow my journey. My “clone” tank is 4 months new and I added the first cleaners about a week ago.

Howdy folks, sorry for the AFK, I’ve been super busy with work.
I’ll make threads tomorrow for the 3 tanks, 90,75 and my favorite atm is the IM 30L. What a beautifully designed tank. Here’s a sneak peak on the 75 (125g total) nem and predator tank ;)
(Finds his food right at the end)
May have to download the video, it’s pretty cool though imo

Hey folks,
I know it has been a while. 350 gallons of water and a full time job in this weird time will do it!
Anyway, got a couple updates for you.
I saw a new mixed baby spawn this week, the previous one was sold. Attached is a picture. This is a few days after this fella showed up, as you can see they dont exactly split, they start as almost a single bubble and a baby foot that isn't really even recognizable. Pretty neat. The first pic is of the baby.

This morning at 7 AM before work I woke up to my eel (another tank) in my fuge. There is no way for him to get out of the top of the tank therefore he must have gone into the overflow, up into the durso drain, under the false wall, and then over the real wall. This dude was so happy when I put the net in with a piece of shrimp in it he was back in his home in under 2 minutes. LOL

The second pic is a gorgeous rock flower that I scored for 15 bucks :D

The final picture is to simply take a moment and remember how much bigger this day is than any single one of us.

They sound awesome! Make sure to keep updating this post. I can’t ever get videos to load on here. So post pics as they open up etc! Can’t wait to see them!
Helps if op uses you tube and posts links. The only way I can usually see

I will work on that. I apologize, I am not the most experienced with the forums!
I'm sorry if I offended you it wasn't trying to. This forum has a video bar that should work but it doesn't. The best way to post videos is using YouTube.

Again I'm really sorry if I offended you.

Howdy folks,
Got my first split today in one of the new tanks. This was a split, unlike the others that start as very small babies, they acted as they typically do for tank owners in the new tank. I will be adding this rock with about 15 more in about an hour.
Does anyone know if a Medusa worm toxin harms invertebraes or only fish?
