I just got an anemone yesterday evening, and it moved all the way across my tank onto the other side, but it’s sitting upside down. It doesn’t look shrivelled up or anything, and the colour looks normal. Is this typical?

Yes. They will find perfect spot.

It’s been in that spot since this morning though, will it take some time to move again?
Yep it may not move but stretch out from under the rock get the light. I have a couple that will do that.

Is that sticking upside down (which is fine) or sitting upside down (which is not fine)?

I took it as it was on the rocks upside down but your right clarification is needed

Not sure why I can’t upload a pic, but the white marshmallow looking part is facing up and it’s not attached to a rock. Should I move it ?

I think you mean the foot.
Ok to place the foot on a rock and turn off flow for an hour.
If it does not stick, it’s likely going to perish.
A healthy nem would stick within an hour.

That’s just wrong.
Take it back.
What’s wrong about it? Just curious cause I’ve never had one. I tested my parameters and it seemed good, I also tested the water at the aquarium shop and they said it was good.

It’s been one day, don’t panic. They are resilient and move around till they find a spot. As long as parameters are in range and it can control its movements it will find a place.
If it shrivels up, or goes goopy on you then start to get concerned.

Should I flip it right side up?
