New BC Canada reefer

What a big welcome! This community must be huge, or very welcoming :)

I like the pom pom crab the best haha.

I'll take some photos during the moving process, especially the 'gear' as I am unsure the quality and limitations of the accessories... yet.

I expect a low bioload, mainly tank cleaners and a stereotypical pair of clowns. I'm hoping to trade the current fish for credit at the LFS

Best place to lurk. We Welcome you all the way from Canada. Do share your experiences in Canada as to pet stores, what they carry, pricing and how you obtain your supplies. Always interesting to see how availability is outside the US. WELCOME TO R2R

I have not updated with photos... thanks for the reminder. I will try to start a post for monitoring my progression.

Overall the move went very well. I had a total of eight people help with the heavy lifting. I started draining the tank at 8am and turned the pumps back on in its new home at 2am. Long process, but well worth the effort so far! I paid 700CAD, and have put in another 400 so far in salt, plumbing upgrades, and additional live rock.

I actually visit the USA quite regularly, so I can see the prices and availability first hand... so far I have found that USA has more options; prices seem to be very similar, but I have found the salifert test kits to be cheaper in Canada by about 5 bucks.

Welcome, Carson!
A week you say, eh? Technically, a week doesn't qualify for lurker status, more like just getting your feet wet. Happy to have you diving right in.
Share and like often!
