Finally got my live rock and started laying it out. This process is no joke as your trying to set n fit all the rocks properly. A bit nerve racking but it's all done and I like it. I'd like to here what you guys think. Btw it's 25lbs. Also can anyone help me please with the lighting schedule on this stock light 29 biocube? It has the 1-10,000K & 1-Actinic Bluelight(the one that fans come on with) & a 1 lunar blue led. If you can tell me which comes on 1st, 2nd or if 2 stay on together and so on??

Its awesome

lots of space for fish to swim and lots of space to grow corals also .. interesting

I think it looks GREAT. If that is your first attempt, I am impressed. Lots of caves for fish, plenty of room for corals on the rock, and plenty of room on the sand for some plates, clams, etc.

You asked a question about your lighting schedule. It would help to know what you plan on keeping in order to recommend a lighting schedule (coral wise). Let us know. Tank looks great. Keep us updated!!!

Thanks so much guys! Yes it's definitely my first time doing it. I spent a good 2 hrs trying to get to where I thought it was just right. I tried to provide as much habitat as possible for a range of inhabitants. As far as the lighting I'm not sure what I will keep but in general wanted to know how best to use these lights ie which Shld come on first and if blues n whites are suppose to be on at same time? Again thanks guys, makes the hard work worth it when you get positive feedback.

Really like the aquascape, you did a good job and I know what you mean about fitting the rock together and achieving what you want. On the lights, I personally have my T5's- blues (2 sets) come on at 9am and 9:30am and off at 6pm and 6:30pm, MH's(2) one on at 12pm and the other at 12:30pm and off at 5pm and 5:30pm. I have leds (night lights) come on 6am( so I can see in the tank before I head to work)-9:15am, 6:15pm- 10pm. Tanks dark from 10pm -6 am.

What type of fixture is it? Is the 10K bulb a halide bulb or a T5 bulb? Same question about the blue actinic - is that a T5 bulb as well?

What Chuck mentioned above is pretty close to what I would have said as well. I just wanted to be sure what type of lighting you are working with. My light schedule is pretty close to the above as well.

That looks great! Your fish and corals will be very happy in there

Not sure if this pic helps. They are the stock coralife biocube lights. Don't think they are T5. You figure I Shld know my lighting type sorry. Top one is white bottom one is blue.

Thanks Riker, that's was my goal. Figured if things are happy I will have a better chance for success. Btw this was tank a week ago. Progress is slow but feels so good in this hobby!

I try to run my lights 8 hrs a day total, blue light comes on at noon and goes of at 8, my day light will come on from 1-7, so I run my blue ( actinic) an hour before my daylight goes on, the entire time my daylight is on, and then an hour after by itself. The leds on the bio cube are for a shimmer effect and I believe they run 24/7. Any questions just ask
