Hi all, think I posted this in the wrong place initially and was a bit rushed so here goes again.

Been researching builds and saving up for about a year to finally get this started.

Looking for a fish community tank with a range of corals, a true beginner initially and then see where it takes me.

Fish wise, starting with a couple of black and white clowns (footbal team colours), yellow tang, bangai and pyjama cardinals, open to suggestions for others. I do though want a mandarin in time when the tank has matured, QT being setup in 2 weeks time.

Setup wise, will be adding a rollermat and UV reactor and an additional Tunze power head, money stopped me this month.

Hugely open to suggestions and assistance from all.

Thanks

thats the answer i hoped for, would some zoas also be ok?

yes ,do dip before adding all corals ,slow ..just a couple to start.. :)

Hi, clowns in yesterday, water tested today,
0 Ammonia and Nitrite
Nitrate at 2
PH 7.6
Alkalinity at 5

Are the PH and Alk values a concern please?

Ive had very little algae growth, the green / brown dusting pictured in an earlier post has gone, anything to worry about here please?

hi,try not to chase #'s but buffing alk slowly rt now will also raise ph yes both are low in my opinion alk 8,ph and test ph at same time of day when testing..7.9 -8.3 ideal 8.2 :)

i prefer b onic 2 part,but get a few more opinions ;)
there is a current thread on top or near on low alk at the moment!!

Really nice! I think you have space for a refugium but other than that you all set. My only advise is dont rush adding all the fish at once.
