I added 3 tangs yesterday around 2pm and today around 330 I noticed they are struggling to stay off the bottom.
I checked nitrate and phosphate are in range. I did adjust the salinity from ~26 to ~25.5 and added 6ml of NO3.
I just did a water change replacing 10gal and one of the tangs is rebounding.

Any suggestions?

How old is the tank. What's the ammonia

Welcome to reef2reef sorry it's under these circumstances.

And no quarantine or protective dose right

Did you test ammonia?

Adding three tangs immediately will more than likely give an ammonia spike which the water change would help.

How big of a tank are they in and are there any other fish

Testing now, current reading 0ppm. 75 gal and one cardinal.

What salinity were they in at the place you got them from? Are there any corals in your tank? What equipment are you running skimmer, refuge, do you have a carbon media in the tank?

I did a quick 10gal water change and the yellow tang is swimming sluggishly but moving. The other two, blue tang and another yellow tang, they are trying but little improvement

Sorry I don’t mean to sound short or to the point. But I hate the long round and round 4 W’s. Who what where why ok. Whatever. 5

25-26. Yes, mushrooms, torch, acans. Fluval460. Yes.

Direct is good.

Direct is good. Fish are dying. Need fix now. Thanks

Did you acclimate properly? Are there any signs of ich? Black ich?
Not tang police type stuff but Keep in mind that a 75g is quite small for a tang, let alone 3 tangs.
How were they acting from the place you bought them at? Nitrate level? Have you tried a small feeding of seaweed?

yes. No. No. Good at store. Nitrate low. Yes.

Could be they just didn't acclimate that well. I've noticed with some tangs they kinda just chill out near the bottom for a day. Was there a big salinity difference do you know?
