Hello everybody,
I'm new to the forum and pretty excited to be involved in the salt community. I've had freshwater tanks all my life. I started at 10 years old. My first tank was a 20g guppy breeder. I've always had a fascination for salt water but was afraid to give it chance. I've had a planted 30g tropical tank for the last 5 years, and I refer to it as the Amazon tank. I also have a 55g Cichlid tank I started up in the last year with about 15 cichlids.
I'll be 38 at the end of the month. Finally took the salt water plunge back in December of 2015. I've got the "bug" for sure! My current setup is modest. It's a 20g octogon acrylic reef tank. I have 50lbs of cured live rock, 30lbs of Carib Sea ocean direct sand, 150w heater, 800 gph power head, 350 gph canister filter, 165w wifi programmable LED, and custom wood stand built by my friend (NHreefguy).
My tank inhabitants are a firefish, diamond goby, skunk cleaner shrimp, 2 Mexican turbo snails, 10 Cerrith snails, 10 Nassarius snails (a few have been eaten for being so small), 6 dwarf blue leg hermit crabs, 5 dwarf zebra hermit crabs, 3 red scarlet hermit crabs, 1 thin stripe hermit crab, 1 blue elbow hermit crab (hitchhiker from saltwaterfish.com), 3000 tibre copepods, green toadstool leather, green finger leather, green goniopora, cactus pavona, green star polyp, tan star polyp, green galaxea, purple galaxea, rainbow acan, green anemone discus mushroom, green rhodactis mushroom, green/purple tipped torch, eagle eye zoas, radioactive dragon eye zoas, green palythoas, as well as a couple pally morphs I haven't identified yet. This Sunday, I'm meeting with a NH reefer I met online. He has fragged me some sunny d pally's, utter chaos zoas, pink zipper zoas, and rasta zoas. I have plans to add 1 more fish to this tank. I would like a flashing wrasse. I have had zero loses so far, and just love this tank so much!
This coming December I have plans on doing a 65g reef tank, with a 30 gallon sump. As my corals outgrow the 20g I'll move them to the 65g. For fish in the 65 I'd like a pair of clowns, a wrasse or 2, a mandarin, tang, and copperband. 6-7 fish total. And of course the list of corals will continue to grow too.

All 3 of your tanks are awesome. Lots of really nice and helpful people here. Looking forward to seeing more.
