I agree I habe always enjoyed the larger tanks ive had but this has a whole different feel and look that I am really enjoying.

looks like a great little desktop peninsula. I really love the radioactive dragon eyes. i might have to keep an eye out for a frag of that for my tank. keep up the good stuff!

Thanks and they have a story to tell, when I got them they came in with aiptasia on the frag so I ended up fragging and fragging till the aiptasia was by itself. I actually was able to save most of the polyps doing yet this maybe 2-3 lost. But now i have spread those frags out.

Desk to pennisulas are one of my favorites. I might start one in my office like this.

Exactly, i never had the chance to observe in the big tank the behavior of some critters, like my sexy shrimps. Also having a full reef without over spending and good husbandry takes about 15 months, you can visit my build thread if you like, it´s a packed pico reef that sits in my desk too!

Water change done, pods have been wiping out the red algae mat that had grown in the back and on the rocks, crab has finished off the hair algae, and corals are open and happy.

Heres the requested pics i am really happy with how my montipora are doing especially considering the 2 random acros i got both ended up dying. Yet both the digitata and the capricornis are both growing and coloring up well. Sorry for a couple of the lower quality shots still not a master of using my note 9 pro mode camera yet but i think i did a good job of trying to get pics of the purple death paly, larger hammer, and hulk lord as they all have new polyps and heads growing.

The color on the digitata is really hard to capture due to it being almost the same shade of blue as the lights, in the pic it just looks browned out with some shiny spots but thats not the case for me when i look at it in person it has a very bright vibrant blue that shimmers under the light.

Oh and this continues to live and do well whatever it is. I have been told that it might be a tunicate.

Sorry havent posted in awhile but here is an update. Tanks doing great everyhthing with a skeleton is showing signs of growth, I did run into some more aiptasia but has since been dealt with unfortunately it led to an impromptu rescape mostly the same some of the polyps have been moved and some of the rocks are at slightly different angles, also came across a sundial snail which i picked out but have yet to see another i think this may be what caused my blue hornet to disappear, i have had an explosion in stomatella snails at best count i have 20 of them and possibly more, i have finally started to get some small spots of green and purple coralline algae growth on the rocks.

Tank looks to be coming along nicely.

I don't know about most, but I am lazy. I just use my phone camera (currently it's the Pixel 2 XL - 2 years old phone) with a phone lens (i.e. Coral View Lense V2) to filter out the blue light and bam... I then just reduce the image size before uploading and that's it; not touch up or anything of the sort. Although I like using my DSLR camera, I have found for me at least, i just wanted to get pics out and with a DSLR camera I do have to spend more time compare to just using my phone camera which is good enough. I think if I was more into photography I would consider DSLR a better path.

Yeah i need to get some kind of lens and thanks for tip about reducing image size afterward i hadnt thought of that because the issue ive had is pic looks great on phone but when i upload it it looks grainy so im thinking that reducing might help that.
