They are both males and they belong to the same genus. I have another 40g and it has a 4" blue face. Maybe that is a better choice.

In most cases, yes. Just use a social acclimation box to introduce.

How about lineatus with a rhomboid pair? Same kind of fairy wrasses to flame so I assume it's the same, right?

Lineatus and rhomboidalis are more closely related than either of them are to flame wrasses. So, they may behave more aggressvely, but can be kept together with enough space. Just use a social acclimation box and that will show some potential problems without risking the safety of any of the wrasses.

It's a 75g QT and the lineatus has been there for about 2 weeks. Is that big enough? Suspect not.

Just make an eggcrate divider. They will be seperate, but can see each other. It's just qt, so that should suffice until they make it to the dt.

Put some netting(brs) on the egg crate so the rhomboids don't squeeze through or injure themselves swimming from the lineatus if they do get through.
I just added 2 supermale lineatus to my established male lineatus and 3 rhomboids( 1 male, 2 juvi males).
Just use an acc box when introducing everyone

I have about 20 wrasses in my tank but the most dominant is my red velvet.

Need you guys' input, is $240 a good price for a 3.5" super male rhomboid wrasse? Can 3.5" be called a super male to begin with?

The price is on par; near the low end of the typical range of rhomboidalis males.
Anything can be called a "super male" (you'd be surprised what I've seen over the years). We'd need a picture to validate/deny that label. More than anything, it's a marketing term.

Thanks. I made a mistake. It actually didn't say super, so it's just a male.

The price is with shipping. Would you say it's a good price?
