Nice shots. What macro lens is it? My 60mm just isn't cutting it anymore...<sigh>

Sweet. You might want to look into bumping up the f-stop a little to get more of them in focus (unless that's the look you are going for). What macro lens?

Photography makes me jealous! Its always something i wanted to get into, but never seem to find the money for it. I need to bump it up on my priority list and get into this, great pics man!

thanks guys! yeah i appreciate all help in improving my pics! i got the canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro USM lens. i also loved the patterns and colors close up pics got! don't hesitate get a macro lens! it's worth it!

Thanks! not yet. unfortunately that was WAY out of my price range..

Nice. Wish I could afford the Nikon version of that lens. I have an old 55mm macro from back when I shot film, but it doesn't really do the job with a tank.

Great pictures!

I keep on telling myself to save up for a nice camera but corals always take my $ first.....maybe one day I will have a nice camera, lol.

haha me too. i was lucky to find a used one for a steal from a photographer. $350! pretty much brand new in box. i think he used it 2 times!

Looks great, I still need to take the time to learn to take better pics with mine. I have a 105mm Macro lens for my D40...I forget the brand off hand.

yeah me too. i'm still learning alot! how do i go about bumping up the F-stop?

woah thanks!!! can you adjust the f-stop in macro mode?

Nice shots! From the looks of the photos I would guess that you are not using a tripod? If you are using a tripod then the next step would be a shutter remote. With having a tripod and shutter remote you will get a much clearer photo and that will get rid of the small amount of blur.

Same here...i have actually been contemplating a Raynox DCR-250 which is kind of an adapter/magnifying glass to the stock lens...check it out - It's cheap enough i may give it a try!

I believe you can only adjust it in AV and full manual. Also, touching on what Gary said... if you are using a tripod, but don't have a remote shutter, you may want to try setting a 2 second timer so that you aren't wiggling the camera a hair when you snap the pic.

I tried to buy some magnification tubes for my stock lens when I first got my camera and I wouldn't bother. It gave it too much of a fish eye lens look and doesn't come close to replacing a macro lens. Save your pennies for the real thing. Just my $.02
