yes i do have a tripod but i guess mr jittery is getting the best of my pics. i'll try doing a 2 second delay tonight and see if that improves the pictures. i appreciate all the kind comments and advice guys!!!

I tried to buy some magnification tubes for my stock lens when I first got my camera and I wouldn't bother. It gave it too much of a fish eye lens look and doesn't come close to replacing a macro lens. Save your pennies for the real thing. Just my $.02

Mine are a little different, but the same general idea. They're threaded and theres four of them that can be stacked. They're similar to these:
Macro Extension Tube Canon 1000D 500D 450D 350D 40D 1D | eBay
They'd be great if they worked, but you only get a pin sized spot that's truly in focus no matter how much you play with the F-stop.

Well those are slightly different...i have also been trailing some photgraphy forums and at least it seems the Raynox is somewhat legit and takes decent pics...for $50 or so shipped it might be worth the chance.
