lol...BTW. ORA's is a capricornis. Tyree's doesn't look like a true capricornis and even he only states that it's "capricornis-like"
Ok, well, the pic on Tyree's site doesn't look like a capricornis.. the ridges are much too defined. *shrug* I have never seen any full colonies of Tyree's.It is a capricornis,Mingwei comfermed it I do belive, the colonies of it I have seen sold grow and look just like it.
uhhh the seasons greeting/red hot chilli pepper(same coral) monti WILL cap out in growth form. Now whether or not it is a "true capricornis" is up for debate.......but it will form a "cap" like structure when mature.
im not talking about one of those aussie "chili pepper" montis either. Those do seem to be a massive encruster but I still wouldn't doubt that they will form a thick plate when they run out of room to encrust...
it's always funny to see these ora posts. Ora's business model isn't to bring in "new" frags to the hobby. They sell frags that have proven to be hardy, hold color well and grow fast enough to sell hundreds or thousands of each and aren't finicky like many of the "new" gimmicky frags that come out at $300 for a 1/2inch and then the price plummets after 3 months of being "new". Ora knows what they are doing....that's why they have been around for many years longer then the vendors who live and die off of the 2 tiny frags of hot eye candy they put out once a month.
