Hey everyone, just looking for tips and advice as I start my reefing journey.
Being a broke college student it is going to be a slow process as I can only afford so much at a time.
Right now I have a used aqueon 90 gallon with overflow and return pipes. It has a stand which I have put a sump in. The sump is a used 20 long with acrylic baffles installed. I also have a mag drive 5 return pump. I am going with soft plumbing and I think I have all the parts to complete my plumbing.
I will post pictures of my build as it progresses.
I am absolutely open to any advice and criticism
Thanks for all your help!

I have the same tank and stand as you! It was also used and my first saltwater tank; looking forward to seeing your progress with it.

For now I have a mag 5. I plan on getting a jebao wp-25wave maker and a hydor koralia for my flow. I'm not too sure about what I will use for a heater. I am getting the current orbits led fixture for my lighting

I'm buying everything exclusively at my lfs. So my equipment will be based off of what they have there

Looking forward to seeing more of your build!

Where are you in college? I am in my senior year at the University of Mississippi.

Very cool, I run the sound at my church, but I am studying Management Information Systems in college (much easier to deal with than sound[emoji23]).

Good luck with your build!

Is my setup okay on carpet? I've leveled it and its level side to side. It's slanted down from the back to the front. I figured I could use some shims to level it but should I put the stand on plywood or something?

As long as you get it level it should be fine. Mine is on carpet, leveled with shims.

Just picked up the jebao wp-40. After talking with some people at my lfs I came to the conclusion that this would be the best for my budget

What kind of heater would everyone recommend? I'm having trouble on figuring out how I'm going to heat my aquarium because there seems to be so many varied opinions
