New Reefer, Large Tank, Lots to Learn

I will have to check the thickness of the glass when I get home. I don't recall off-hand, but I know the glass is thick (best guess is 3/8")! The aquarium took 6 people to turn it on its side and move it through the door. The bottom is double paned as well. It is hard to tell from the picture above but the second pane looks like it was "glued" on a bit sloppily. I am not sure what they used to secure it, and it might be standard practice for it to look like that for all I know. I figure it is nothing an inch or two of sand won't solve.

So the glass is 1/2inch and double paned on the bottom.
