Hey guys,

I just started a new 30 gallon bowfront this weekend. I have had freshwater aquariums my whole life as well as did a 60 gallon salt with my dad when I was a kid. I've always wanted to get into the reef hobby but I was always apprehensive. After years of wavering and not pulling the trigger, it happened. I found the perfect small tank and off I went. I'm about a week in and starting to see some signs that the cycle is off an running! Thanks for having me as a member!

Welcome to R2R!!!

Its great to have you! Lets see some pics of this tank :D

Here you go! It's a basic set up so far, waiting for the cycle to finish so I can add my HOB skimmer.

Congrats on finally taking the plunge on a saltwater setup. The pics look great and I hope that you will keep us updated through the process. Welcome and if you have any questions just post it.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Things are going well, my ammonia is climbing daily, no nitrites yet! Here's an update from tonight, lights have been off and I only turned them on for the photo.

I'm not sure about fish, i really want to be careful about the bio load. I want to take it easy and learn before I go crazy lol but I'm thinking some LPS, zoas and an anemone.
