All makes sense. I've been dosing baking soda for the last 2 days and Ph has risen to 7.88 last night before lights out. My Alk & Ca kits should arrive today so I can stop running to the LFS to test ... not going to ditch the TMP, I'll find some way to sell it or trade for it.
So, is there anything bad about having Alk, Ca & Mag at the higher levels ( like you would with a tank full of corals) if you don't have things in your system that will be using them?
