New tank tread

So, since I bought a lot of coral from the sales a couple days ago, I needed to set up a tank. So I decided to set up my 40 gallon breeder at a friends shop. Was up till 2:30 this morning setting it up. Central time. I have been cycling rock in half of a 55 gallon barrel for a month and a half. Ammonia reads zero, nitrite the same, nitrates are around 20. I'm using mostly the cycled water and rock, new black alive sand. Built the stand last night.

Long time due update! Tank is going great! Had a slight spike which I controller as much as I could. Nitrites got high but didn't lose any coral, my way coral list mouths though. Lost one clown, the other one is happy as ever! Nitrates are now at 0. Haven't done a water change for about a month now...

Recently added some sps! Doing great! Had a gha outbreak as well. Added a reactor, did some peroxide dipping and dosing, multiple water changes. Now just a waiting game!

Update. Battle with gha is still going on, have been dosing h2o2 for a few days, not much happening from that. I have a media reactor on but might change the media.

Still battling gha. Seems like im loading the battle now. Going to try vinegar dosing instead of the peroxide dosing as it seems that it is not working. Wish me luck. I saw a little cyno so i have to change my media for sure. Water change tomorrow.[emoji4]
