New to corals, please help identify if kine

Hello all,
This is my first reef tank and I got this one a little over two weeks ago. It seemed to be doing very well but today it seems deflated and thin. I want to know if I’m doing anything wrong. I have a Fluval light that I have in for about 7 hours a day. I also feed it once a day with frozen shrimp mix that I squeeze by it with a turkey baster. I checked the nitrate, ammonia, nitrite and PH levels and they all seem good. Let me know if you have any tips or ideas. I just want to make sure I am tending to it properly.

hey the light I have is top of the line, it’s $200. I set it to about 7 hours but not max, I can pump that up more. I also feed it daily.

The torch looks alright to me. IMO fluval is not the top of line when it comes to reef lighting. I would also slowly start running your lighting longer. For instance i run my lights 12 hours with a 2 hour ramp up and down

Perhaps raising the over all intensity will help and for 12 hours. Have a 4 hour peek and a ramp up and down period.

Torch corals like anywhere from 100-400 par so you should be good if you crank the fluval up.

What are your parameters?

Alk, cal, mag?

How old is your tank?

Lol that’s not top of the line. Top of the line fixtures run from $800 to $1,000+

Make sure you are testing Calcium and Alkalinity or at the very least perform regular water changes.

I agree with the above what are your actual parameters.

Not familiar with fluval lights what does your spectrum look like, from the pictures it doesn't seam to have much blue. Also don't feed it everyday.

fluval isnt known for their reef tank lights. Id try to find an AI primehd or 26hd they are a great buy and are under $250.... chosing between the primehd and 26hd depends on the size of your tank . And I meant not to feed it everyday

Hey, Right now I have the light going for 7 hours a day, for 5 of them I have it increasing to 100% of the white light, and the last two hours I have it on 100% Blue light. I dont have a testing kit for the Alk, cal, mag just what I listed above. My tank is 5 months old as of right now.

Today it is even more withered though, I am really concerned now. Is there anything I can do immediately other than crank up the lighting?

Also what is the nitrate and sg? If you don’t have a test kit for those, go get one!

your tank is rather new so I would invest in a test kit....do you know what your ph is or even salinity.....knowing you PH, Alk and Salinity would be the most essential not that mag, calcium, phosphates and nitrates aren’t.....but low levels of Alk, Ph or Salinity will kill your stuff

Yeah like all above are saying check your parameters. When you get into corals that are LPS and SPS Ca, Mg, and Alk are big factors. Also, be careful of not overdoing it when you make changes. My Pocilipora did a complete polyp bailout because I let the Alk get to high in one go. Learn from my mistake.

Does your light ramp up and down. If so ramp it up from 0 to 100% blue and 50% white for first hour leave it at 100% blue and 50% white for the next 10 hours then ramp down to 0 for 1 hour, so total time on is 12 hours. Fluval is not top of the line(been there did that). For the same money AI prime 16 HD is top of the line or darn close to it.

Just keep thinks consistent if you turn up the lighting do it slowly like 2% per week corals don’t like anything changed fast

Can you please post the model of the light? White light isn't exactly the correct spectrum when its an LED light.
Also how often do you do water changes? if you feed it daily you really need a Phosphate test.
