New to corals, please help identify if kine

Ai makes good lights but they aren’t radions or Atlantiks

Color wise Radions get better color. I get the same amount of growth as people with Radions if not better and I’m about to add T5s and I’ll still be under the price you would pay for a radion

Hey, Right now I have the light going for 7 hours a day, for 5 of them I have it increasing to 100% of the white light, and the last two hours I have it on 100% Blue light. I dont have a testing kit for the Alk, cal, mag just what I listed above. My tank is 5 months old as of right now.

Today it is even more withered though, I am really concerned now. Is there anything I can do immediately other than crank up the lighting?

There's alot going on in your tank for any of us to be able to pin point what it is.

1st big problem is tap water, it might not kill your corals or inverts today or tomorrow or a week from now but as all those chlorines and heavy metals such as copper leech into your rocks and sand stuff slowly starts to act up. The biggest problem with this is you won't know when it finally tips the scales until its too late.

2nd is the lack of test kits, if you don't know a parameter then we don't know either. Could be high or could be low. To solve any problem in a reef there is only one way, process of elimination. We do that by ruling out everything with in our control,parameters.

3rd is lighting. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you aren't too familiar with reef spectrums and corals metabolic needs from lighting. Brstv on YouTube has some fantastic videos on lighting and spectrum that would clear this up much better than any one of us here can, they are very informative and easy to follow.

As to what you can do right now, adjust your lighting to run more blues throughout the day like stated above and maybe try a water change. Other than that I can't suggest doing anything without knowing your parameters for fear of doing more harm than good.

You have gotten some great advice as far as your what you can do with the information we have so far, so I agree with what has been said and without you water parameters I cannot ad much more. I will say that the fact that you say that Fluval is "Top of the line" with anything to do with reefing and the fact that you do not have test kits already makes me think you have not done much research yet. Nothing against Fluval, they are a great company and I use their lights on my freshwater planted tanks and have had many Fluval tanks and other products over the years, but Fluval didn't even pop up on my radar when researching lighting for my reef tank. The only reason I bring this up is that this hobby requires a lot of research to be successful long term.

You may want to spend some time researching lighting requirements and water parameters and flow required to keep LPS coral like the torch you have before purchasing any more coral. It will save you a lot of time, frustration and money in the long run and make the hobby a lot more enjoyable.

Yes. Radions have wayyy better color and are much brighter. I’m not bashing Ai, I have 26HD’s over my tanks and am very happy. But they still have room for improvement and features that radions and atlantiks have
