Hi all. My name is Jonathan and I am in Northern California. I have a 12 gallon hex tru-vu tank I bought years ago while working for a LFS. I had it set up as a mushroom and hardy (low light) coral tank. I am setting it up for pretty much the same thing for now. With a full size family, and a new member on the way, a bigger house trumps expensive lights and aquarium controllers. I am amazed at how much better equipment has got over the last 16 years. I guess my $250 power compact set up is a paper weight now. Lol. Anyway, I look forward to leaning on you guys and gals when I screw up and learning more about reef keeping on the way.

Thank you all! What a great welcome! I am on the fence about the aquascape. Had trouble doing the law of thirds with a hex, but it will work until I upgrade to a 60 cube. On a different note, do I need to have InstaGram for contest links to work? I tried to check out the Super Awesome Shrimp Bowl contest I heard Peter and Jeramy created on RNN, but the links on the thread just takes me to member profiles.
