Hey guys, my name is Luke. My son talked me into getting a 55 gallon with a hob biowheel filter a few months ago. After cycling and adding some fish I realized I need to go bigger so I'm working on a marineland 265 with a 55 gallon sump.
I've built as far as the temp controller of the reefpi so far, thanks Ranjib!
I build things for a living so I'm a 100% diy type of guy. I'm looking forward to building my own led lights but I still need to get my head wrapped around that a little more.

Thanks for the welcome

Here's a picture of the 55. I have 2 clowns, a firefight, 2 green chromis, lm blenny and a blue jaw trigger. Just starting to try my hand with coral I have 2 trumpet frags and a candid. Also a condy anemone and a crab that came with him (just added yesterday). Oh, and various cleaning crew.

Dantimdad, thanks, I've been browsing the forum and you seem to really know what's thing in with lighting. I will definitely be hitting you up for information. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to circuit boards and that type of electronics.

The 265 is a used tank, I got rid of the corner overflows and switched to a beananimal with an acrylic overflow now at the top of one side. I used the original hopes holthe bottom and used clear pvc to go up through. I have a skimz leopard 253 coming next Monday. and sometime this week I will start slowly filling the water, hope to have it set up and start cycling in a couple wks. I'll get some pictures of it tomorrow.
