New to Reefer,

Welcome to R2R!

I put everything in first except fish, plus rockwork, established and new.

Then, in groups of 2 or 3 least aggressive first, within a week for my livestock, tangs last and at once.

Have fun.
Thanks, I am all newly made water, should I save some water from the existing tank?

Little benefit to adding older water, not much good stuff in water, use new stuff.
It’s the older hard surface stuff like rock, sand that hold the magic.
Your not increasing the load on the system, just more volume.

Fish I did a little slower, least agreesive first, just so there was not so much competition at one time.

But if you add some older water, it’s not going to hurt.

Thanks for responding, yesterday I purchased two Damsels and put them in.
Also some of the clean up crew and my Star fish.
I am thinking I need a uv light now and a monitoring system.

My pleasure.
Your only 7 ish days in, the UV would slow the development of your good guy algaes which at this point is very small.

At this stage, Iam all over testing water chemistry, all 7 or 8 of those crucial parameters and working every day to get each and everyone of those stabilizing, ie not rising, not falling day in day out.

These conditions are super favorable to the development of the algaes and bacterium that are the main processors of the water column.

While I hate testing, for me, it brought great success, and worth every penny IMO.

I don’t chase numbers, but DO watch trends and act upon them.

Continue to build your fish community slowly, least aggressive first.

just the rant of and old man.

Best luck.
