New to SW

Congrats on the tank and welcome. Here's to a flourishing and bountiful reef. Cheers

Stable parameter wise? Or structurally?

It is structurally sound, I made sure of that. We're still new so I'm still letting the tank establish itself to make sure the parameters are consistent and correct.

And your tank is beautiful!!

I was talking about structure stability sorry. I see you're still cycling that will come in time. If you need anything feel free to ask.

Thank you! So far, everyone has been very helpful and I'm really liking the community here.

But yes, it is very structurally stable. I dumped a 5 gallon bucket of water on top of it and nothing budged at all so I think we're good there.

Hi all! So I am totally new to SW. Just started setting up a 36 gal. Bowfront, and I'm having trouble with the aquascape. It's been cycling for 2 weeks (using Red Sea reef mature kit) and I've already rescaped 3 times. I've read the rule of thirds, looked at pics, ect. Any suggestions?

I love your Aquascape. Welcome to Victory I wanted to stop and say you've come to a wonderful place there are many educated people that are willing to help other people and their saltwater Adventures everybody is kind-hearted and is ecstatic to answer questions that you would possibly have, there's never a stupid question and always update with more pictures we love more pictures again I know you will enjoy your time on Reef2reef you can spend hours on here

So, I haven't updated this thread in awhile, but there have been new additions to the tank [emoji4] I have two Snowflake Ocellaris, and a Royal Gramma, plus the CUC (a few turbo snails, some astrea? snails, a brittle starfish, 2 peppermint shrimp, 6 or so hermit crabs, and 2 porcelain crabs).

I removed the HOB refugium. I just didn't like that it was difficult to clean because the back of my tank is not easily accessible (it's in a corner). I am currently running a SunSun CF500 (I believe) canister with UV sterilizer, with rock rubble, purigen, and coarse and fine filter pads. I clean it out regularly to prevent it from becoming a "nitrate factory". So far, so good. It's really doing a nice job of keeping the water clear. Now, I just need to find a good HOB skimmer. A sump is not an option because of how my stand is underneath - very narrow, the canister filter barely fits. Recommendations welcomed!
