Hello everyone my name is Shane, I'm pretty new to the reef community but wanting to get involved. I currently have jbj 12 gallon nano cube haven't made any changes to the system yet. I have about 12.5 pounds of live rock and a sand bed of about an inch. I just finished the cycling process and I think I'm ready for the next step of adding livestock. If you have any advice on running this particular tank please let me know. Also what livestock would be best suited for a tank of my size.

WELCOME!
If I were you, I'd start slow. Don't know how many times I've setup tanks and have gotten excited and threw a bunch of live stock into the system and then have it blow up on me several months later.
Post some picts of your setup so we can see what your playing with. As far as live stock goes, I'm a fan of nano fish like clown gobies, fire fish ect.
Let us know if you have any other questions
and again, WELCOME TO R2R! =)

Thank y'all so much I greatly appreciate the friendliness on this form. I'll post some pictures when I get back to the research lab. Haha I'm almost embarrassed to show my tank when in comparison to some of the reef tanks on here.

don't be.. All reefers have to start their tanks at some point.
I saw some place ( not sure where).. but some one had the idea to take a picture of their tank once a month to document the tanks evolution of their setup.

Here's what the tank currently looks like.

Please correct me if any of these parameters are wrong or need to be improved.

When I first started in the hobby, I was replacing evaporated water with mixed saltwater. Salinity was ridiculous, those were the days. My advice is to go slow and do your research. There is a lot of good advice on this forum. There is a few tools I would recommend getting: Refracometer, RO/Di filtration, and a ATO.

I agree with WVReefJunkie on this one.
