Hi all, my name is Kingston. I live in Wisconsin. I am at the planning stages of starting my first saltwater/reef tank. I have had fresh water for years but have shied away from saltwater due to its complexity. I recently decided to go for it!

I just got a deal on a used 350g 96 x 30 x 30 custom aquariums tank, previously used for freshwater. Just starting to buy equipment. Any advice will be very appreciated.

Best advice I've gotten and that I can give is to take it slow. Good things in this hobby happen over time, only bad things happen over night. If you think you're going slow, slow down even more ;)

Welcome aboard! Take your time... You can always spend money on equipment, you can't unspend it. lol. Take a look around some of the build threads here, as well as the equipment forum. Once you start getting a general idea, or just see things you have questions on, make a quick list, and throw it up in a post. Everyone will be happy to jump in and give some advice. ;Woot

Come on in the waters 77-80. Go slow. I did not but wish I did. I’m newish too and have literally learned everything from these people. All other sites and forums have steered me in the wrong direction. But the people on here will help with zero judgment and I mean that.
