Hello all
I'm new to this forum, just like reef tanks. I have experience with freshwater tanks, different sizes and fishes. I'm cycling my reef tank at this moment!

Welcome Misha.
It is great to have new folks join here. We don't have many rules here but we do have a few strong suggestions; #1 Start a build thread!
(I've never done one cause my tank was built when I arrived)
#2 post pictures of your tank. (Very nice!)
#3 Have fun!

Ha! No excuse! It's never to late to start a build thread! :)
Do you have it built yet?:D

What do you guys suggest for cyling time? My fish store said 3-4 weeks and then slowly add fish/corals. I need to level my tank first its 1/4 inch off on one side is this a big problem? The corner that is 1/4 off is round if that makes a difference.

Watch your ammonia spike then drop off to zero...that’s when your cycle ends

I don’t have an ammonia test kit as my store said nitrate would be enough, Im still planning on buying one though. Is there a chance I have “missed” the spike?

Looks like a nice start! Welcome to R2R! Maybe if you took a sample to the LFS they would test it for you? Most good ones in the US will do that.

Welcome to R2R!

Nothing good happens fast in this hobby. You've gotten some great advice from you fish store. 30 days + is my usual cycling time. Add fish slowly. Starting with fish that are "low" bioload is a very good thing.
