Hello,

I was in the hobby back in my teenage years and turned away from it for a bit. I have since gotten back into it and have major plans!! Currently running a 75 gallon with an ATI dimmable sunpower 8x54w T5 light. Tank is about 3ish months old and I’m experiencing my second outbreak of brown golden algae My ammonia nitrite and nitrate is 0 my salinity is 34ppt. Any ideas on why the algae keeps coming back?
God bless Genesis 1:21

You think maybe diatoms? Using ro/DI water only. Should go away on its own shouldn’t it?
If it is in fact still going thru it's ugly stage then yes, it will go away on its own. :)

Its hard to say in the pictures, but it could possibly be cyano and maybe dinos, but lets not jump to conclusions. I would start by trying to get your nitrates and phosphates up to detectable levels.

@KJ , any ideas, the algae kinda looks like normal ugly stage algae, but the bubbles?
