Newbee. Standpipe help please

If you feel that the return pump is producing more flow than the drains can handle, tee off above the return pump and add a ball valve. Let this excess flow dump back into the sump.

Like I did for a manifold:

Creative!!

My system is draining a good deal more than it is returning, so, at least that's good :-)

Thanks Flippers!!

I raised the DT end off the plumbing and that was about 50% of the noise just like you had said!

I probably won't try the T until next weekend WvNed. But that will probably be 30% more from the sound of things. :-)

Big help guys!!

Update-I got the stockman working!! Whoot whoot! There really was noroom for a Durso. Nitrites are near 0.00. Also whoot whoot. Cheato went in 2 days ago and Tiger pods are expected today or tomorrow. :)

I'm going to start on the T air vent now and I'm pretty sure that is gonna take care of the remaining excess noise. Thank you so much WvNed!! And thanks again Flippers!!

Great to hear!

Has anyone built a stockman standpipe for a CPR CS90 overflow? I built one last night but the 1" PVC would not fit into the bulkhead. I had to cut the skimmer part that came with the over flow in half, stick it into a coupling, stick my standpipe in the other side and then put the skimmer part into the bulkhead. Which makes it higher than I think it needs to be. I can take some pics after work.

It did quiet it down except it randomly makes a loud sound.

The one inch PVC went down in to my bulkhead.

Is your bulkhead threaded?

I didn't really notice before but yea it is on the CS90

I also have the CS90 and looking at it early this morning I am going to modify the hole at the top from a airline to a .25 inch water line with a valve shut off to regulate the air flow. I have the t valve all the way open and I am still getting a slight sucking noise.

My CS90 had the non threaded bulkhead and the inch inch went into the fitting snuggle. One could always sand the pipe to fit.
