In general, adding Live rock and live sand should be ok, but depending on if the LR was in just a curing bin, it may have come in with a LOT of organics or ammonia. In most cases it just needs a week or two maybe more depends to be processed by the bacteria. Ive moved my rock back and forth like this in my house, but mine is pretty clean. and you did it seems wait a while.
But your bacteria bloom has me a bit baffled, as Ive not seen this when adding even dirty rock.
Do you use air purifiers and sprays?
