Hi everyone, doing my intro per the welcome message. Been interested in getting a saltwater tank for several years now, finally pulled the trigger and bought a 22" cube 40 gal tank, setting up a reef. Have heard good things about the community and wanted to join to get some wisdom from more experienced owners. currently just have 2 clowns in the tank, deciding when and what to add next. End goal is a colorful interesting reef with lots of bright fun fish. Been getting kinda odd chemistry results at the moment based on where im told the tank should be but figuring it out. Nice to meet everyone! Looking forward to learning and growing an awesome tank!
edit: here is a spreadsheet of the various fish/coral i have begun to research with some notes about them, any advice regarding this would be greatly appreciated! Link:

Congratulations on you cube and welcome to R2R!! :)

Welcome to R2R, love your fish selection but beware the 6 line wrasse, they can be temperamental lol
Good luck with your build!!!

Thanks! I have heard that of the 6 line wrasse. I like many of the different wrasse I've seen the 6 line just stood out to me. Is there a different type of wrasse that would be less temperamental that you would recommend looking at?

I myself love the 6 line wrasse and had one in my first tank for many years without incident. Since I got back in the hobby I have heard nothing but horror stories about them.
I even contemplated one for my current tank as it's really the only wrasse I like lol
If you get one, just insure you add him last and tell the LFS that you might have to bring it back if things go south.

Does LFS stand for Local Fish Store? I spoke with one of the local shop owners (probably going to be the shop I frequent) and he said he buys back/offers store credit from fish if they grow too large or something like that so I think that would also be fine. If I do get one I plan on getting it after several other fish are established in the tank, and finding the smallest one I can so hopefully he doesn't bully as much.
