Newbie with a biocube

I have been running the stock oceanic bio cube 29 gallon lighting for over a year. It's a good light source for sure. But I'm not going to stop you from upgrading! Have considered it my self. Just not sure if I really want to or not..

I was under the impression that for coral growth and health they would need different lighting... now that I see that it isn't... I can look at my options... like taking the top off and doing hangy lights... duh.

Yah if it had the 10,000k and actinic blue bulb you are good. Mine came with the moon light LEDs also. It's a good way to get started. Until you figure out what you want to do. I have had Great luck with LPS and SPS corals. (sps until my blue legged hermits got to them)

The whole tank with out lighting thing. I'm not really sure about. Id tell them to save up and check out some affordable options. Especially if they plan on having corals.

The stock lights are defiantly fine and WILL grow coral quite well. So you don't have to rush to upgrade.

A tank with corals will do fine for three to five days with no light. Fish only, forever.

Heres one way go if you need to upgrade. It's turn key with controller.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this website and don't know how to post a new feed. Sorry if I posted in a wrong page.

I have a 29 gal tank and today..my blood shrimp disappeared and..I think my bubble tip anemone ate it.
I would like to know is it possible the anemone will eat a blood shrimp?

They've been together for 3 months...

Been a while since I've updated this. I have added 2 clowns and a lawnmower blenny because I have green hair algae and the little guy was too cute. I recently added some corals and I'm super excited about them. Here's some pix. I'll add more tomorrow
