Welcome to R2R. Just got done doing 5 30% water changes in 5 days to bring my nitrates down but somebody had suggested nopox to me but wanted to get them down with water changes first. How much did you dose to crash your tank, so I can avoid the same catastrophe in the future.

Honestly don't risk it I dosed half the recommended dose and in like a months time coral lost like crazy. Never seen nitrates change at all make sure your tanks established for your bio load and if your rocks are to close where water can't blow thru and around detritus will build up I have a pretty sweet tank I feel , people say don't do large water Changes. I do a 80 percent water change ever month. I eventually to get nitrates down I sold half my rock cause I had about 220 pounds in a 75 gallon sold my 3 biggest fish which was my hippo yellow and sailfin tangs and staid on top of my huge water Changes. Now my nitrates stay between 5 and about 30 at the end of month. No nuisance algae whatsoever and I feed my 75 heavy heavy super heavy but even with 30 nitrates at the end of the month every thing super healthy

Welcome to R2R.....NO:POX is good to maintain low level of nitrates but when its too high go for large water changes nothing works better than old school water changes...:)
